GEC offers an in-house machining department that provides precision machining and turning services for a wide variety of
industries. Our machining includes CNC and manual machining, CNC milling, CNC turning, CNC drilling, slotting,
threading, boring, hard turning, drilling and tapping. Materials worked include carbon steel, brass, alloy, aluminum,
copper, stainless steel, nylon and other plastics. Bar feed up to 2-3/4” diameter; turn up to 16” diameter. Short and long
run productions are available.
Listed below is a partial list of equipment we use in the machining center:
- Mazak CNC LatheQT20HP – 20 HP Quick turn lathe with a 2-1/2” bar capacity and automatic bar feeding system.
- Mazak VTC20-B Vertical Mill vertical machining center with a 20”x60” table and automatic index.
- Mazak VTC 300C Vertical Mill machining center with dual stations allows for set-up at station #1 while machining at station #2.
- The maximum travel on this machine is 65.35 in the x-axis; 30” in the Y-axis and 26” in the Z-axis.
- Mazak Nexux 250M Lathe
This department also has a selection of drill presses for drilling and taping holes.
